New initiative – Cambridge Digital Minds – has launched at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) to explore the societal, ethical, and governance implications of digital minds.
Dr Lucius Caviola, Assistant Professor in the Social Science of AI, who leads the initiative, commented: “Cambridge Digital Minds brings together philosophers, social scientists, AI researchers, and policymakers to close that gap. We want to build the field now, while we still have time to shape the outcome.”
