Biography

Rachel oversees and manages the delivery of the business, administration and services of ITH, which includes the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER), the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) and the Centre for Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence (CHIA). She advises the Institute’s Directors on developing and implementing strategy and leads the professional services team. Her areas of responsibility include governance and planning, finances, human resource management, research management, IT, and communications.

Before joining ITH, Rachel held a number of roles across the School of Arts and Humanities in areas such as REF impact, postgraduate administration, and research facilitation and project management. Rachel originally trained as a Management Accountant and worked in local manufacturing companies developing business strategy. She has a degree in French and Italian from the University of Leicester.
